Tanzania

Tanzania is renowned for its vast wilderness areas including Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Nyerere National Park, and is home to Mount Kilimanjaro and the ever-appealing Zanzibar Spice Island.

Bordered by Africa’s three largest lakes; Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika and Lake Victoria and with a long Indian Ocean coastline, Tanzania is an East African safari powerhouse. Playing home to the Great Migration, it welcomes thousands of wildebeest and zebra to the Serengeti plains each year, the iconic savanna and grasslands speckled with acacia trees, opportunist lion and hyena. Offshore lie the tropical islands of Zanzibar, with Arabic influences and Stone Town – the cultural heart of Zanzibar, as well as Pemba and Mafia islands, luxurious destinations offering some of Africa’s best beaches, diving and snorkelling.

Mount Kilimanjaro, the roof of Africa and the continent’s highest mountain, which can be summited from Arusha. Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive caldera and has its own enclosed ecosystem. South of Ngorongoro are the Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks. Visit the nearby coffee plantations in and around Arusha. Tanzania truly does offer everything.
